I&#039;m not that convinced. They have this in California - and this is why the budget is messed up every year. People want more services and lower taxes and they&#039;ll vote for someone locally who offers that... and then cannot deliver. 

So my question is, how would you square this with California&#039;s disastrous attempt at having state-wide referendums and constant political paralysis?</description>
