A bit of self promotion (and nepotism too for good measure)
One of our Fellows, Tim Hood, founder of Yoosk.com has invited me to take part in a large scale public engagement exercise in the build up to the G20. It would be great if readers and Fellows would submit questions – you can do so here. We are filming the answers on Friday, with another of our Fellows, David Wilcox, I hope, asking the questions. It should be fun – I’m looking forward to it.
And now for a bit of unashamed nepotism – a plea for a vote for my father’s efforts at stand-up comedy for Comic Relief. Of course he is the best – and, even if he isn’t, it all helps the charity. Thanks!

Your father has a great sense of humour. Also, the resemblance is striking…”very interesting”..:) I am always amazed at how some offspring does not resemble the parents at all, and yet in other families, the children are like carbon copies of the parents, with regard to facial features. My own is also very much like that. (Just an artist’s observation)
Thanks for sharing!
Matthew – thanks so much for the mention, but unfortunately I can’t make it on Friday because of short notice and a trip to Birmingham already arrangement to meet a group of Birmingham bloggers. Tim has a replacement I believe.
However, it all joins up because the purpose of the trip is to organise a social media surgery at the National Digital Inclusion conference that you’ll be chairing at the end of April. I’m organising the social reporting, and we have some rather exciting plans for another piece of open policy development – around digital engagement before, at and after the event. I hope we’ll be able to interest you and the Fellowship in that too. You heard it here first …
Sorry, Matthew, it was Peter White and his guide dog joke for me – although as a fellow scouser and grandson of a docker I did like your dad’s Diesel joke. But he came a close second on this occasion!

The other thing sounds interesting. Thanks for passing it on – will have a look.

Thanks Christine. If you ever meet my old man please go up to him and say ‘aren’t you Matthew Taylor’s father’? One, just once would make my day!
